This IVWV NEN 3840 refresher course is intended for electrical engineering employees whose high-voltage installation and work manager certificate is about to expire and who want to extend their certificate. Requalification is also suitable if you have failed the regular course and still want to obtain the certificate.

Prerequisites
To follow the requalification course, you must have completed the regular NEN 3840 IVWV HS course or a similar course.
Objective
In the NEN 3840 High-Voltage Installation and Work Manager Re-qualification from RelyOn Quercus, you will learn to take responsibility for the safe operation of high-voltage electrical installations in a short period of time. This NEN 3840 IV/WV refresher course will give you the tools to implement and manage electrical safety in your organisation. You will become competent and after this refresher course you will be able to supervise whether electrical engineering and operating activities are carried out in accordance with NEN 3840.
Course content
The refresher course for high-voltage NEN 3840 installation managers and work managers covers the following topics:
Occupational Health and Safety Act and Occupational Health and Safety Decree Refreshing your knowledge of NEN 3840 electrical installation management Writing a switching message and practising switching operations based on switching plans Structure and function of high-voltage installations Network structure Energy transformers: single-phase, three-phase and instrument transformers Switchgear: load switch and load disconnector, contactor and circuit breaker Distribution equipment: insulation material, current load of conductors, earthing and short-circuiting Consequences of overloads and short circuits in high-voltage electrical installations Synchronous generators HV fuses Protective devices: differential and protective relays, selectivity and maximum current-time relays Safety earthing: touch voltage, power systems, measuring earth-diffusion resistance Cables: conductors, core insulation, load capacity and cable protection How to act in case of deviations from normal operations with high-voltage electrical installations Assessing and creating a safe workplace according to NEN 3840
Exam
The requalification as a NEN 3840 high-voltage installation/work manager can be completed with a theory and practical exam. There are three ways to complete the IVWV HS refresher course:

Note: have you already been Stipel certified for IVWV HS? Then you are exempt from the basic test for this certificate, provided you obtain the certificate no later than two years after the expiry of its period of validity.
