The IECEx Inspector EI (Ex 001/004/007/008) course is intended for inspectors who need to be able to carry out electrical inspections on explosion-proof installations and equipment.
Prerequisites
To follow the IECEx Inspector EI course (Ex 001/004/007/008), you must have an electrical or instrumentation vocational training, or equivalent, as well as experience in inspecting electrical installations and equipment.
Objective
In the IECEx Inspector EI course (Ex 001/004/007/008) you will learn to inspect existing and new electrical installations and equipment in an explosion-hazardous environment. You will draw up an inspection plan, become familiar with various protection methods and assess ATEX installations on a visual, accurate and detailed level.
Course content
The IECEx Inspector EI (Ex 001/004/007/008) course covers topics from the international inspection standard IEC 60079-17. These topics are relevant for performing Ex inspections in zoned areas. What requirements must the explosion-proof installation meet, have the correct components been used in combination with the correct glands and cables?
The IECEx Inspector EI (Ex 001/004/007/008) course is based on the final and test terms of IECEx 05 module Ex 001, 004, 007 and 008, as stated in the IECEx Operational Document 504 (OD 504):
Ex 001 – Applying the basic principles of explosion safety in Ex areas Ex 004 – Maintenance of Ex equipment Ex 007 – Visual and careful inspection of electrical equipment in or connected to Ex areas Ex 008 – Detailed inspection of electrical equipment in or connected to Ex areas

The IECEx Inspector EI (Ex 001/004/007/008) is concluded with an IECEx Record of Training . This certificate is valid for 3 years. Please note! This certificate is not an IECEx Attestation with which you can obtain an IECEx 05 personal certificate .
If you choose the online theory exam, you will also receive a RelyOn Quercus certificate if you pass. This certificate is valid for 3 years.
